The Educated Pelvis

When Dr. Sam and I first connected, it was simply to explore a brand audit. She wanted clarity, a strategic look at what was working, and an honest assessment of where her brand no longer aligned with the deeply intentional, inclusive care she provides. What started as that initial audit conversation quickly unfolded into something more meaningful… A shared vision for what The Educated Pelvis could become with the right visual identity behind it.

Dr. Sam shared that she felt especially comfortable moving forward because I came highly recommended within the birth and postpartum community — a close-knit network she trusts deeply. That trust shaped the entire collaboration. She gave me room to explore, create, and design something that truly reflected her work, her story, and her heart for inclusive pelvic health care. Together, we built a brand that feels authentic, aligned, and future-forward.

As we dug into her values, her mission, and the unique way she supports clients, it became clear that her branding needed to feel as grounded, welcoming, and evidence-based as her practice. That led us to refresh her logo — keeping the beloved pelvis sketch, but refining the illustration and pairing it with typography that feels more sophisticated, modern, and unmistakably hers. It was an evolution, not a departure, honoring what she built while giving it the clarity and distinction it deserved.

One of my favorite details from the project is the custom pattern we created (picture above in shades of purple). It’s subtle, Scandinavian-inspired, and deeply personal, a quiet nod to her birth experience in Denmark, where she first felt what supportive, home-centered care could truly be. Now, that experience is woven into her visual identity, becoming part of the story her brand tells every day.
