Brand & Website
Spiral Path Counseling
At Burtch Designs, we believe a brand should be a digital extension of the practitioner’s presence. For Emily of Spiral Path Counseling, that presence is steady, human, and deeply attuned. Her work is the kind of therapy where you feel seen without being analyzed—supported without being pressured to "perform" your healing. Her brand needed to mirror the environment Emily cultivates for her clients: grounded, spacious, and real.
The Strategy: Honoring the Non-Linear
Healing isn’t a straight line, and it certainly doesn't fit into a tidy box. We approached this project by leaning into the "spiral"—the idea that we often revisit the same themes, but from a new perspective each time.
We paid attention to the nuance of the nervous system: what helps a person exhale, what reduces the pressure to "arrive," and what a client needs to feel safe enough to explore. We moved away from clinical rigidity and toward a visual rhythm that feels both steady and expansive.
The Digital Experience: A Space to Simply Be
The Spiral Path website is where Emily’s philosophy meets the user’s experience. We brought her steady, non-performative voice into every interaction.
From the clear, grounded language to the intentional microcopy (like a 404 page that meets you with curiosity rather than an error message), the site is designed to be felt. It allows a potential client to understand Emily’s approach in seconds, then feel that sense of unhurried support as they scroll.
